Tags: News, News Doylesroom

This week I actually have some news that doesnt involve Full Tilt Poker. I suspect the Full Tilt news will be fading over time as peoplee to realize and accept that it will probably never revive and player will probably never see the money theyre owed.  Heck, when a poker room hits the news on CNN with announcements that theyre a Ponzi scheme, I dont expect a great oue, even if the Ponzi scheme charge is debatable.

But the news this week is about DoylesRoom.  Everyone remember DoylesRoom? It was in the news over the summer because Doyle Texas Dolly Brunson decided to end his relationship with the poker room that bears his name, probably as an overall result of the April 15th Black Friday Poker Shutdown.  But losing Doyle Brunson didnt shut down DoylesRoom and today the news is that the online poker room has been acquired by Americas Cardroom.

It looks like Americas Cardroom is planning to step in and fill the void in the US online poker world. The big empty space that was left when Full Tilt, PokerStars, UB and Absolute Poker were kicked out of the country.  The good news for Americas Cardroom is that there are plenty of US players looking for an online poker room that can offer plenty ofpetition, lots of games and tournaments, a big stakes.  The bad news for Americas Cardroom is that Bwin.Party, the bigpany created by the merger of Party Poker and Bwin is setting up negotiations with partners on the US side so that theyll be poised to move into the US market the moment we have legalized and regulated online poker.

Put your cards on the table, boys. It looks like its going to be a poker showdown.
