Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has emerged as a tempting outsider in the sports betting for the Wimbledon 2011 mens singles title.Tsonga produced a stunning display to knock out the previous tournament favourite Roger Federer on Wednesday (June 29th) and will now play Novak Djokovic in the semi-final.The Frenchman is now a 13/2 shot for the title after coming back from two sets down to eliminate Federer. What makes Tsonga an attractive proposition for sports betting fans is the fact that six-time Wimbledon champion Federer, by his own admission, did not play badly.Instead he was simply overpowered by the 26-year-old big serve and powerful ground strokes.Scot Andy Murray, who faces Rafael Nadal in the other semi-final, is in no doubt that Tsonga can be a contender if he continues this form.He said: “I think Tsongas an excellent player. When he plays well, hes very, very difficult to beat, especially on this surface.”To come back from two sets to love is a very difficult thing to do. Against Roger at Wimbledon, its even tougher.”Nadal is now the sports betting favourite for the title, with odds of 6/5.
