Bingo games will be just one of the activities which are set to be held at a forthcoming festival.Held each year to commemorate the Summer Solstice, the Fen Edge Family Festival is a huge fun weekend when the people of five villages come together to have a brilliant time and enjoy each others company, Cambridge First reported. The event only takes place once every two years, which makes the event even more special for those living in the area.Taking place over four days, there are lots of activities for visitors to get involved with, ranging from hot air ballooning to quad biking and mediaeval knights putting on displays.Organising committee chairman Mike Smith said that 10,000 people are expected to arrive in during the event.”There are events to appeal to older people with bingo and tea dance on Friday afternoon,” Mr Smith added.Bingo is also set to be played at a week-long Gala Event taking place in Laurencekirk, with a gardening contest and fashion show listed among the other attractions.
All eyes are now turned towards Aintree as the Festival fast approaches. This year promises to be a fabulous three day event which includes something for everyone. Whether you are a trainer or jockey, worrying if your horse will perform on the day or one of the Ladies who has entered the Style contest, wondering if your outfit will impress the judges, anticipation is now high. There is already some controversy surrounding the ‘Ladies’ who might be present this year, more of which later!
